Opening the eyes of our Hearts

Its been such a great day here in Mombasa, Kenya! Today we had a bit of a rest day. We got to have fellowship at the beach with each other, and ride a camel!! We played water polo for the first time; that was interesting lol. I still can't believe that we are actually here; Jesus has already begun to open my eyes and heart. Yesterday, when we got to go to the closing ceremony at Mbewau Academy, the kids immediately opened their arms to us, wanted to hugs, and play. I just started crying. These kids have blessed us already so much! I can't wait to see what  God is going to do in the hearts of the children at VBS this week :) Jesus has reminded me to have childlike Faith, just like the children at Mbewau!! We take so many things for granted, that we miss opportunties that Jesus has placed right in front of our faces! I have learned in the last couple of days to Keep my eyes OPEN! Open to what Jesus has blessed me with, and how I can help bless others by telling others of Jesus's love.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
